Hi Babes, Happy Friday!!
St. Patrick’s Day is days away and you all know I love a good celebration. Green isn’t my favorite color but luckily when I think of St Patrick’s day, I think lucky charms and rainbows anyways.
I can never pass on a celebration or a good themed treat!
Shamrock Pancakes Recipe
This year I thought I would turn my shamrocks pink and create my own Pot of Gold with whipped cream and lucky charms.
This fun treat is great for any brunch celebration with your girlfriends, your family and for sure great for kids.
The treat also combines two of my favorite things, lucky charms and pancakes!! YUM!!!
Shamrock Pancakes
Recipe:
1 box bisquick (follow that recipe, eggs, milk)
1 tbsp vanilla
2-4 drops of Red food dye
Cooking spray or butter
Lucky charms cereal
Whipped cream- homemade or from a can (I used a can)
Directions:
Step 1: Follow the Bisquick Recipe, and add the extra vanilla then whisk together until all clumps are gone.
Step 2: Drop one drop of red dye at a time into the batter and slowly whisk together. A little goes a long way so try to use one drop at a time or you will end up with red batter.
Step3: Butter or spray your skillet on medium heat
Step 4: Ladle some batter in the skillet. I typically ladle ½ cup size so the batter can spread big enough into a circle that the shamrock cookie cutter will fit in after it’s cooked.
Step 5: Watch for your pancake to start to bubble on the side facing up and that will usually be the indicator it is time to flip.
Step6: Flip the pancake onto a lined baking sheet and cut out with the shamrock cookie cutter.
Step 7: Stack the pancakes and top with whipped cream and lucky charms.
Step 6: ENJOY YOUR SUGAR RUSH ;]
I hope everyone had an amazing week and plan to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, even if its by wearing a hint of green!
