Green, cheesy, nutty, salty deliciousness. My Pesto Sauce Recipe is all that and more.
I could put pesto on just about everything. With it being such an easy sauce to make, I like to make a bunch to have on hand for the week. If you don’t use it that week, you can also freeze it and save it for when you’re ready or craving it again.
Pesto Sauce Recipe:
1 Bunch Basil= 3-4 cups (I buy the large box they have at the stores)
½ cup of parmesan – grated
¾ cup of olive oil
½ cup arugula
¼ cup walnuts
2 garlic cloves
1 tsp water
½ – 1 tsp salt – add ½ in the beginning and if you taste it when it’s done and want more add another ½
Step 1: In a food processor or blender add the basil, arugula, walnuts, cheese, garlic cloves and water. Pulse a couple of times to incorporate.
Step 2: Add the salt and slowly pour in the olive oil while pureeing the pesto.
Step 3: Puree until all ingredients are incorporated, taste, and add more salt if you see needing it.
Grab the bread, or the pasta and ENJOY!!!!!
