Lemon Parmesan Pasta
All the PASTAS! That is my motto haha
I could really eat pasta all the time, and love all kinds but there is nothing like a simple sauce and some yummy noodles. I learned about adding lemon juice to pasta from one of my cooking icons Ina Garten and it’s a go-to pasta dish for now for me for sure.
Using just Lemon Juice, Pasta Water and Parmesan cheese it’s one of the simplest, yummiest, most satisfying dishes, that you’ll definitely be adding to your dinner line up.
1 box spaghetti noodles
2 lemons juiced
1 tsp – 1tbsp red pepper flakes (depending on how much spice you like start small and you can always add more)
1 ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
3 garlic cloves
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 tsp salt
½ cup pasta water
Step 1: Boil your pasta Al dente ( read the box but typically 9-10 min)
Step 2: Once the water is boiled add 2 tb sp of olive oil and 1 tbsp salt
Step 3: While the pasta cooks, grate the parmesan cheese and garlic. Then juice your lemons.
Step 4: Grab a sauce pan, and add 2 tb sp olive oil and on low heat start to heat the pan
Step 5: Grab 1 cup of your pasta water before draining the pasta. Set to the side in a bowl. ( I always grab a cup so I can have more if I need it but use ½ a cup typically in the sauce.)
Step 6: Add the garlic, red pepper flakes and lemon to the sauce pan and turn the heat to medium
Step 7: Saute for 1 minute so everything gets fragrant
Step 8: Add the pasta to the saucepan stir around
Step 9: Add the parmesan cheese and ½ cup of pasta water and toss until the cheese has melted and the sauce has combined together.
I just finished this post and my mouth is watering, and I might need to make this tonight!!
