Eating Seasonally: Summer Fruits & Veggies

Summer Fruits & Veggies…

Summer Fruits & Veggies

Eating for the season!

Eating and buying produce that is in season is the best way to instantly make your food taste better. Like the saying goes, “fresh is best.”

Produce in seasonally also has more nutrients than food consumed out of season. Fruits and Veggies that are picked and eaten at their peak season are sure to have a higher taste in flavor.

Knowing which fruits and veggies are in season will be helpful when going to the grocery store.

My favorite part about summer eating is the fresh and vibrant colors. From Heirloom tomatoes ( which range from green, yellow, orange and red), to different types of peaches and cherries.

Summer is also a big grilling season and nothing tastes better than grilled artichoke, corn, and even chillies or tomatoes for fresh salsa.

If possible and you’re able to get produce straight from your local farm or farmers market, that is even better.

I can’t wait to share tons of summer recipes with you guys using every all the yummy produce from the list below.

Screen Shot the lists of summer fruits and veggies above so you can have them in your photos for reference when your shopping.

Lastly, making summer dishes with what is fresh leaves you not having to do much else or add much else but subtle flavors like herbs, olive oil, salt etc.
