I don’t know what it is about the 4th of July or even summer but I always crave berries and cream. It is such a fresh and light dessert I don’t ever feel guilty eating it too.
Add a star shaped biscuit and you have yourself a simple, delicious and …
Festive 4th of July Dessert
Need:
Star Shape Cookie Cutter:
Ingredients:
1 container of packaged Pillsbury dough biscuits
1 container blueberries
1 container black berries
1 container raspberries
1 container strawberries
1 tbsp powdered sugar
1/2 stick melted butter
1/4 cup of flour
1/4 cup of sugar
Freshly Whipped Cream:
1 cup heavy cream
5 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp vanilla
Directions:
Step 1: Whip your heavy cream and sugar together and place it in the fridge to chill.
Step 2: In a bowl, mix all the berries and powdered sugar together. Then place in the fridge.
Step 3: On a wooden board or your counter top sprinkle a little flour on your surface and open your package of biscuits.
Step 4: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. (read the instructions for what the package says)
Step 5: Using a rolling pin, flour your pin as well then roll each biscuit out one at a time. I roll just a little bit so it flattens enough to cut out your star shape. Then repeat this for all biscuits.
Step 6: Using your cookie cutter, cut out your star shape then set the star on a non stick baking sheet.
Step 7: Brush each star with melted butter.
Step 8: Sprinkle each star with sugar.
Step 9: Put the sheet pan in the oven and cook for 5-7 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown.
Step 10: Build your bowl. Put berries in first, a dollop of whipped cream, then top with your biscuit.
Step 11: ENJOY!!
I hope you babes enjoy the upcoming holiday season and find ways to make every detail more fun at home!!
